Product Details

What a coincidence that in the early 1800s, two nations were racing across the oceans to claim the uncharted land of Australia. Frenchman Nicholas Baudin captained ‘Le Geographe’ and at the same time, Matthew Flinders, an Englishman, captained ‘The Investigator’. When Eastern bound Flinders met Western bound Baudin off the coast of the Barossa, they named the meeting point Encounter Bay. Perhaps not coincidentally this GSM was sourced from the Barossa in South Australia.

Crimson red with purple hues, this Grenache Shiraz Mataro blend is bright with spicy plum fruit and an earthy complex background. The palate is layered and plush, like a spiced berry compote drizzled in chocolate finishing soft and velvety.
Enjoy with hearty casserole.

GSM, one of my favourite blends and this one has some kick to it! Bright lifted red fruits from the Grenache pair perfectly with some darker plum and spice from the Shiraz and the Mataro adding some earthy spice and velvety rounded finish. You get some heat from the alcohol but the flavours more than match the fire. Have this with Mexican you'll be pleasantly surprised how well it pairs.
