Already an international favourite, St George continued their success at our judging.
The Terroir Gin is uniquely earthy and herbaceous, stimulating palates and senses alike. St. George Terroir Gin is one special Gin. Distilled using a wide, interesting range of botanicals including; Douglas fir, California bay laurel and roasted coriander, we’ve never tasted anything like it!

St George Distillery was founded in 1982 and its one of the first American craft distillery. They’ve grown from a dedicated eau de vie distillery into a diverse operation that makes a range of craft spirits. Their Terroir gin is one of the most distinctive gins made in America. Inspired by the wild beauty of the Golden State, this is a profoundly lush and aromatic gin with a real sense of place.

Absolutely love this gin. Has a real woody, earthy taste - garnish with a sprig of Rosemary, you'll love it too

This is a bit different from the type of gin I normally go for, and it took me a little bit to come around to it. More of a peppery and herbal style, I would avoid serving this gin with the usual lime wedge. I enjoyed it a lot more when I used a small twig of fresh rosemary, it balanced it out a bit more and added to the savoury herbal notes.

I first tried this gin in San Francisco after a day hiking in the hills around San Francisco. The botanicals certainly reflect the terroir off the area! I visited the St George craft distillery in Alemeda for a spirit tasting. The 3 pack of gins is a great way to get a feel for the St George styles. They also have some cool vodkas and try the Spiced Pear liquor if you get a chance.
